B. megaterium Annotation Search

Search the TIGR and RAST annotations for words.

This is a simple search engine. Enter as many words as you like. All characters other than letters are ignored. Upper and lower case is ignored. Words are combined with AND: gene annotations returned by this search contain all of the submitted words.

Starting with a gene name from TIGR or RAST, this function gets the names and functions for this gene from both annotations. Protein genes only.

Gene Source:

Gene from TIGR, a gene starting with "ORF"
Gene from RAST, a gene starting with "peg." or "fig|1404.10.peg."

Enter the gene ID, and get the sequence and coordinates of that gene in FASTA format.

TIGR genes should start with "ORF" or "ORFX", followed by a 5 digit number. For plasmid genes, a letter between A and G is in between the ORF and the number: e.g. ORFD00102.

FIG genes start with "fig|1404.10.peg." or fig|1404.10.rna.". You can also leave off the "fig|1404.10."
